Here is a tutorial on altering a basic bodice pattern (with vertical waist darts and horizontal bust darts) into a "leaf" pleated bodice. For this tutorial I used the JJ bodice sloper pattern you can download from this site. The idea is to show you an easy altering technique I used when drafting my "Do you like peaches?" dress. You will get the best results if you start with a basic pattern you already tired, and that fits you well.

    hi jan, me gusta tu unico detalye na de tu camisa….. it could also be useful on sleeves for edgy effect.:) i’ll try that one of these days. :)

    I think I’ll use that someday as a neckline rather than waistline accent to go better with my figure.

      Exactly! I used the same technique to draft the skirt part of the peach dress showed above.

    This is a cool technique. Unfortunately, I don’t think it will go with my figure, but I will definitely try it out when I sew for relatives and friends. But in general, AnaJan, your techniques and creations amazed me!
