A project I am commissioned to finish by Christmas, I am making doll clothing out of recycled and unwanted clothes. Also using scraps from my other creations. The image is of a doll wearing hand-stitched tights that I made from footless leggings of my own that are no longer wearable. I actually stitched them while the material was on the doll, slipping her into one leg of the leggings, trimming back the excess and working from the sheath around her (my niece’s doll, Felicity, on loan). Not charging the client for materials or labor… leaving it up to her to decide how much she can afford based on craftsmanship.
