Reusing felt blankets as fabric.
Mario’s costume: overalls, buttons made from plastic covered by fabric scraps. Old cap covered by cross stitch plastic canvas forming the train driver hat, then covered with fabric. The logo was cut out from the same fabric and stitched over the fabric cover before gluing to the cap.
Luigi’s (female version): the same technique and materials as Mario’s. Dress made from an old sheet.
Toadette (little mushroom): Head made from sponge forming the mushroom top, then covered by fabric and decorated with rounded fabric forms. The pigtails were made from styrofoam balls covered by the same fabris ac the head and attached with hot glue. Dress and vest made with fabric.
Since Halloween is a little bit cold I prefered to use a warm fabric like FELT Old caps Plastic canvas to give form to the hats Styrofoam balls Sponge (0.5 inch) Old sheet Hot glue gun Hot Glue
