After realising that A) I really like minidresses that can double as tunics (they keep the bum warm!) and B) I need some new clothes for winter, I decided to make use of some of the organic cotton I got at a remnant-sale this spring. It’s been waiting for me…
The result is this. It took a few days to sew, mainly bacause I bumped into a wall of resistance a few times.
First first the sleeve openings became almost ruffled since the material (an organic cotton) is too loosely knitted for “normal” seams. That was such a sad sight that I immediately ripped the seams and later decided to sew them all over again with enclosed elastic.
Then it was a struggle to sew the seams with a twin needle, I even broke one, but it finally came out ok…
There’s a bit too much material in the back, I’m going to remove some in the pattern before making it again, but it’s no biggie…
