Description
My first dress sewn up for another person, a birthday present for my gorgeous friend Iris. Iris is quite petite, so I am quite pleased that my alterations to the pattern worked, we are both very pleased with the fit, yay! However the sleeves were drafted and redrafted THREE times, what a palaver.
And a lot of chiffon was murdered in the creation of the little sleeve hem details, my machine just chewed the hell out of it whenever the fabric was on the bias.

You really have done a lovely job of this . . . it is just beautiful, and the fabric choice is really inspired – I will keep this pattern in mind when I have finished all my current projects . . . . (ahhh!!!) PS – I love what you have done with the sleeves.

Incredible! The level of detail is amazing. No one would guess it was not bought in a store (hm, that is supposed to be a compliment, though it almost doesn’t sound like it!).
